BEL - Brain Electrophysiology Lab, is excited to present a new webinar with Roma Shusterman:
"FLOW: an in-depth look at BEL's database management system, and its' novel capabilities for analysis scripts containerization"
FLOW is a containerized web browser computing platform for data acquisition, storage, analysis, and collaboration between labs. Multiple EEG acquisition systems can be connected and stream data to FLOW for storage and analysis. FLOW provides access tiers with varying privileges to lab members and external collaborators. Actions of the computational process, data download, and data deletion are recorded in the database's ledger. For technically oriented users, FLOW supports a simple, streamlined, document-centric experience via Jupyter Notebook (JN) IDE. JN scripts are executed in an independent container, data is accessed via API, and scripts are stored as part of the database. The special emphasis of this seminar is a new feature we will be introducing in Q1 2024: the containerization of experimental analysis. With a single button click, an established JN script can be containerized into an independent container with an automatically generated user interface for parameter entry. This feature enhances reproducibility, transparency, and speed to publication.
The webinar will include a discussion on Jupyter Notebooks and a Q & A session.
