Webinar | Clinical Neurophysiological Assessment of Motor Neuron Disease (MND): A Practical Approach

15 April, 2021 - 15 April, 2021

Course introduction
This lecture will consider how the clinical neurophysiology study supplements the clinical history and examination of a motor neuron disease patient. The various components of the electrodiagnostic study will be reviewed to appreciate the pathophysiology of motor neuron disease. Techniques for improving diagnostic yield will be discussed. The last portion will consider newer techniques in monitoring motor neuron disease.

Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this eSeminar the participants will be able to

  • How to plan an electrodiagnostic (EDX) study of motor neuron disease based on clinical findings
  • Enhanced assessment of fibrillation and fasciculation potentials/li>
  • Understanding the implications of denervation- reinnervation
  • New methods in tracking motor neuron disease.
