Satu K. Jääskeläinen is the Division for Medical Imaging Director and Head of the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology at Turku University Hospital in Turku, Finland. Her main lines of research are the mechanisms, genetics, and diagnostics of neuropathic pain, the role of basal ganglia and brain dopamine system in the pathogenesis of chronic pain and tinnitus, therapeutic non-invasive neuromodulation with rTMS and tDCS for depression, chronic pain, epilepsy and tinnitus, functional brain imaging and neurophysiology of consciousness.
